The Thanksgiving In-Gathering, a worship celebration and our biggest donation drive of the year, is quickly approaching! Please consider bringing a donation to offer in both the 9 and 11 am worship services on Sunday, November 24. A specific list of needed items is available below. Please consult the list as it contains the items that are most helpful in serving our neighbors. Thank you for your involvement in the work of alleviating poverty and homelessness in Rochester!

Items Needed

Food

  • Coffee (beans or ground; unflavored; No K-cups)
  • White sugar
  • Brown sugar
  • Powdered hot chocolate packets
  • Cold cereal
  • Peanut butter (creamy)
  • Jelly (strawberry, grape)
  • Canned soups (tomato, chicken noodle, typically Campbells or store brand)
  • Canned tuna
  • Canned vegetables (corn. green beans, mixed)
  • Canned fruit (peaches, mixed), smaller (<16 oz) cans, ideally
  • Boxes of mac and cheese
  • Pasta (spaghetti, noodles)
  • Pasta sauce

Clothing and Linens

  • New underwear for men, women, and children
  • Gloves/mittens for children
  • Socks for infants and toddlers
  • Sweatpants & sweatshirts for men, women, and children (especially larger sizes- 2x and larger)
  • Winter jackets/coats (machine washable only) for children (especially in sizes 10-12 and 14-16) and for men in all sizes and for women in sizes 1x and larger 
  • Winter boots for men, women and children
  • Bath and hand towels  
  • Washcloths
  • Bed sheets & blankets (full, queen, king sizes)
  • Pots & pans
  • Plastic dishes, bowls, cups for children
  • Can openers
     

Toiletries

  • Shampoo or shampoo with conditioner (travel size)
  • Toilet paper
  • Tissue packs (personal size)
  • Toothpaste (travel size)
  • Hand warmers

Miscellaneous Outreach Center Supplies

  • Paper towels
  • Napkins
  • Gift cards to Wegmans, Tops and/or Walmart
  • Financial donations
